My bald head is seriously affecting my confidence. What I can do?

I am a man of 24 years and started losing hair at the age 18. Still I have thick hair on the back and sides, but it is very thin at the top (Alan Shearer). It seriously affects my self esteem, especially with girls. I'm not the most confident person to begin with, but to talk to girls is a nightmare. The fact that I'm losing my hair, I feel really bad that I think my weight loss makes me unattractive. What I can do about it as he begins to feel depressed and lonely?
