LAP-BAND vs. Gastric bypass vs good old-fashioned way?
I'm looking to have gastric bypass surgery, in fact I have my operation scheduled for next week. I have serious doubts about doing so in British Columbia with a colleague of mine who had been terrible health conditions. She now has very fine hair with patches of hair loss, looking tired and unwell, continues to rise and exit. and paramedics are in our offices oftern what appears to be a once a week! my colleagues are interested, I'm so sick. I seen the band turn now. and I know I do not know if I can do the former. i can choose this option despite that have a very long to see results. I am very confused. all my friends and family are against it. What do I need, I need recommendations, good advice and facts about the people who did. please help.
I guess I've been in briefings to any hospital or clinic that performs surgery. From what I understand, the return of the band is safer, has fewer complications associated with it, and is adjustable. You are young, which is good, but you also should consider if you have co-existing health problems. You should also ask whether they could follow the lifestyle changes. I do not know you personally, and is obviously their decision. However, obesity has many health risks for many. I would definitely recommend continued support, including a dietitian, psychologist, support group either. Good luck to you.
