Thinning Hair Viviscal
Does a white club/bulb at the end of a fallen hair mean it’s about to regrow?
I’m a 28 year old woman who has been experiencing diffuse hair loss for about 9 months now. I have bad blood tests done for deficiencies, thyroid problems etc. but everything came back clear. I’ve been taking Viviscal since about 5 months ago. While I see a small amount of regrowth at the front of my hairline, the rest is depressingly thin!
I’m a bit confused about the hair cycle, however. All of the hairs I shed have a white club at the end. Does this mean that a new hair has started growing there, or is there a resting phase between shedding and growing again?

I guess you are having a rough period of stress related hair loss. If you are familiar with the hair growth cycle, there are actually 3 phases…
Anagen- growing phase
Catagen – transition phase
Telogen – resting phase
If you are losing a lot of hairs with white bulbs that means that the hair you are losing belongs to the ANAGEN phase. You are either facing hair loss related to your thyroid problems or internal body stress from thyroid medications.
Hypo or Hyperthyroidism are known for triggering additional hair loss so you got to watch out.
