Hair Loss Weight Loss Symptoms
Is a ferret is possibel have an adrenal disease in the absence of primary symptom? (Hair loss)?
My male ferret (5 years) has trouble using his hind legs – the left than the right. The vet said I could be a sign or adrenal disease or lymphoma developed. Its lymph nodes and spleen does not seem to be inflated, while lymphoma is probably not the case. However, the difficulties to use the hind legs appear to be one of the last symptoms of adrenal disease – The first and most important symptom is hair loss. My ferret has not suffered any loss of hair. He did lose weight and has been a little bigger when I was young (1-2 years) ferrets, but it seems all my ferrets get a little smaller as they age. There appears to show a consumption excessive urination or more scratches. And behind the weak leg and there appears suddenly. Does anyone have additional information for me?
Ask your veterinarian to have blood tests? on hind legs may be caused by many things not only insulinoma or adrenal tumor. If your ferret is not having other symptoms, is difficult to diagnose without the help of your veterinarian.
