Woman, And Hair Loss…?
My question is, if most hair loss/breakage for woman is reversable, fixable and curable over time. Why do we see some balding woman walking around ?? What I mean is, when woman are thinning its usually Thyrois or Hormones (for example) .. which both have medications to fix, treat and reverse. So why does it get to the point of Diffuse Hair Loss ? Do they not know they are thinning ?? Reason I ask is because I am thinning/breaking due to a possible Ferritin shortage, as my Dr says, I have not noticed a difference yet.

I was currently diagnosed with telogen effluvium which is a diffuse thinning of the hair. TE is when there is a sudden shock to your system ((mine was due to getting of a birth control pill and causing a hormonal imbalance)) or even a persisent factor, such as stress, that causes your hair to go into the telogen, or resting phase. This process is complete reversable but takes about a year to show signs of growing back. I didn’t notice my hair loss until about 3 months after i got off the pill so it can take time to notice the difference. Still to many people, it doesn’t look like i have lost hair..only i know.
