How can you tell if female hair loss (loss of 70-80% of hair, for 7 years) is psychological? .?
Someone suggested I may be depressed, but I have tried things that should make you feel happier, like working out, being in the sun, watching funny movies. THere has been no improvement. What prescriptions are given to people with depression and what are the side effects.

A blood test will be done to make sure you don’t have the common reasons such as thyroid problems, hormonal problems, imbalances, anemia, lack of protein, etc. You will can request a scalp biopsy (a punch biopsy…a very tiny, minute piece of scalp is punched and sent for assessment to determine the cause).
