Chemo Baldness

Pain for the sex act. Need expert advise!?
I am recovering from breast cancer and on medication (tamoxifen) for 5 years. One year already past and 4 more years to go. I am having problem on sex with my husband to be.
The first time we have it was during my baldness time (when I was undergoing chemo – which is one year ago). After that we occasionally have sex once a week. But my hunger for sex is no longer there since 6 months ago.
Everytime we tried, it is either ended up I have pain in my vagina or unsuccessful attempt. Is there something wrong with me?
We are getting married next year and I am afraid as a wife, I can’t give for him. So far, he never complain a thing and understand my current situation.
This situation sounds similar to one i went thru when i was being treated for depression a year or so back. I was put on some very strong anti-psychotic drugs which basically killed my libido. I was lucky if i could have sex once a month let alone once a week. What’s probably happening is your vagina is not self lubricating like it was before the chemo and everything you went through. I suggest extra foreplay to help get you warmed up and a good bottle of KY original lubricant. Don’t get the “yours and mine” stuff or the arousal gel just plain KY and these two things should help. Also make sure upon penetration you start off very slowly and keep a good steady slow pace during the first 10-15 minutes of penetration. This gives your vagina time to adjust. Also don’t do any weird positions at first try to stick to missionary or woman on top for the first few minutes while your vagina adjusts. I was very frustrated when this first started happening to me because sex was painful and i just didnt want it as much as before i started my meds. I really had to work at getting ready for sex, also i did increase the amount of oral sex and hand jobs i gave my husband tomake up for the lack of sex, so give that a try as well. Because while i understand your situation you have to remember that men have needs “sexual ones” and if not met that can cause even more stress and problems in a relationship.
