Causes Of Baldness In Cats

My cats testicles have started to bald…..any opinions on what it may be?

My cat is just under 1 year old, his balls have started to lose hair from the as.s downward, they’re now almost half bald!! this past few months he had been outside the whole time but recently he’s staying in a lot more, I think it could be some sort of worms as they tend to make cats & dogs itchy and the baldness could be caused by him rubbing and licking!
I know this nearly sounds like a joke but if anybody had a cat with similar suituation I’d greatly appreciate the intell.

All my cats are indoor cats, so I haven’t experinced this, but it does sound like it could be worms or another irritation. The hair there is thinner/ softer than the rest of his fur and would be more easily worn off if he was licking it because the area bothered him.
I’d really recommend taking him to the vet, worm treatment is pretty inexpensive, and you don’t want him to get any kind off worse irritation or chapped skin in the area- if he gets little cracks in the skin from constant washing, he could get an infection since that is the area he poops out of and sits on the ground with. An infection can be extremely painful and harmful to him, and you don’t want his butt leaking blood and pus all over the place.
