Does Biotin have any side effects if I take too much?
Almost everywhere I read on the internet it says that it doesn’t, the only place where it says it does is on Wikipedia: “Yes, excess of biotin is also harmful for health because it shows dihydrotestrone-like symptoms such as male pattern baldness or alopecia when used about 5 mg daily for one month in those persons who are more vulnerable to alopecia. This takes three month time for those who are less vulnerable.”
Can someone clear this up for me? Because what that wikipeida article says goes against what I’ve read everywhere else.
Yes – it can be harmful. Alopecia means baldness. Pretty much remember to use it in moderation, like anything else. You won’t do yourself any favors taking it is massive quantities because it will actually do the opposite of what you are trying to achieve by taking too much. Moderation is key!
