Baldness Treatment Nhs

Wigs on the NHS?

As far as I am aware if you get an illness where your hair falls out, say for example you get cancer and your treatment causes baldness, the NHS can give you something towards getting yourself a wig.

If this is the case here is my question – If you didn’t want to wear a wig, but instead wanted to wear scarves to cover your bald head, would the NHS still be at all willing to help you out financially to buy a load of scarves?

It’s unlikely, but interested – no, fortunately I’m not in this situation myself.
Yes – very odd question – not so much bored as curious…perhaps odder is that it’s been on my mind for a while :o P

I doubt it, scarves can be bought much cheaper than wigs anyway.
Have you seen those NHS wigs?! I would rather be bald!
